The Minor Field Study (MFS) is a SIDA-funded scholarship for field studies abroad that you can apply when writing an essay. All MFS applications are handled by the International Office at the Student Center.
What is MFS?
You can apply for the Minor Field Study scholarship when writing a bachelor's, master's or master's thesis within our subjects of political science and peace and conflict studies. Both subjects are well suited for this type of study abroad. The scholarship is used for a minimum stay of 8 weeks in a developing country to collect material for the thesis.
The contact person for MFS at the Department is Rolf Hugoson. Please contact him if you want to apply to the scholarship.
Application
The application is extensive and should therefore be well planned on forehand. When you are working on your application you can discuss your thesis ideas with someone at the department.
You can find more information about the scholarship, information dates and application at our International Office.
Contact
Please contact our International coordinator if you what to apply for MFS or if you have any questions.
