Student Support

On this page you will find information about studying with a disability, how you can get help with educational support, study guidance, as well as information about how to obtain your degree and certificates. There is also information on how to find the University's various resting rooms, how to book group rooms and a link to a calendar where you can take part in health-related events.


Educational Support

Do you need help/support in your studies? Do you have any functional variation? Contact our education administrator (programme counselor) Sofia Mikaelsson.

Counseling session

You are welcome to book a counseling session by emailing our education administrator (programme counselor) Sofia Mikaelsson. Drop-in time on Tuesdays between 9-12. Read more on how you also can get study guidance via the main campus here

Resting rooms

If you need to rest, you can borrow one of the resting rooms at the Arts Campus. You can see where they are located on a map here (named "vilorum"). 

Group rooms

Certificates

Do you need a result certificate, a certificate of registration or a copy of your degree certificate? Read more on how you can get a certificate at Umeå University’s website here.

Getting your degree

When you have completed your studies, you apply for the degree yourself. The Degree Evaluation Office at Umeå University makes all decisions regarding degree certificate matters. 

Students who have completed the Master Programme in Architecture and Urban Design (120 credits) can acquire a Degree of Master of Fine Arts, 120 Credits, with Architecture as the Main Field of Study, and Architecture and Urban Design as specialization.

Students who have completed the five-year Architecture Programme (300 credits) can acquire a Master of Architecture, 300 Credits as well as a Degree of Master of Fine Arts, 120 Credits, with Architecture as the Main Field of Study, and Architecture and Urban Design as specialization.
