Certificate of results or certificate of registration
A certificate of results shows your completed courses and, if relevant, your degree. It can be used to prove your study results to an employer, for example.
A certificate of registration shows which courses you are now or have previously been registered on, and during which semesters. You can use the certificate to show that you have been a student at Umeå University, for example to the unemployment fund. There is no information about a degree on a certificate of registration.
Get your certificate yourself
The easiest way to get a certificate of result or certificate of registration is to download the certificate yourself from Ladok.
If you have studied at other Swedish universities and want to include those in your certificate, you can get a national official transcript of records from Ladok.
The certificates have an electronic seal that confirms that they are genuine.

Order from the University
If you cannot log into Ladok with your UMU ID, you can contact Infocenter to order a certificate. You can use the contact form below. If you order a certificate for your studies, this means that Umeå University will process your personal data. For more information about personal data, please read www.umu.se/en/gdpr.
For your integrity, the certificate is sent in paper format to the address registered in the Swedish Population Register (folkbokföringen). It may be possible to get a digital version of the certificate, which is then sent to the email address you have entered in Ladok.
Copy of degree certificate
Often, a certificate of results is sufficient to confirm that you have your degree. If a certificate of results is not sufficient, we can send you a certified copy of the degree certificate you have already received. If so, contact Infocenter. You can use the contact form below. When you order a certificate for your studies or a copy of your degree certificate, this means that Umeå University will process your personal data. For your integrity, the certificate is sent in paper format to the address registered in the Swedish Population Register (folkbokföringen), usually within a week. When you order, please specify which degree you are referring to, your name, Swedish personal identity number and the address you want it sent to. It may be possible to have the copy sent by email. The copy will then be sent to the email address you have entered in Ladok.
