Orientation for new international students

Moving to a new country with an unfamiliar language, culture and customs can be a challenge. We would like to help you and ease that challenge so that you can focus on your studies. Therefore, we would like to offer you the possibility to take part in our Orientation, which begins just before the start of each semester.

The Orientation consists of a series of lectures and activities that are designed to help you become acquainted with life in Umeå and studies at our university. It also offers a great opportunity to meet new people and make new friends. We highly recommend you to take part in the Orientation programme.

Orientation Spring semester 2025

A welcome programme for new international students Spring semester 2025 will take place on Tuesday 21 January during the afternoon in Aula Nordica (Campus Umeå) and a pre-arrival webinar online on Tuesday 14 January, 3-5 pm.
You can sign up for the pre-arrival here.

Schedule for both events will be published here no later than mid December.
