My research area is the digitalization of society with a special focus on digital transformation, new business models, value creation and trust issues in relation to the introduction of new technology. I am a member of the Swedish Center for Digital Innovation and have for many years conducted research on the Internet of Things (IoT), where I lead projects and carry out studies in both the private and public sectors. As an expert in the IoT area, I have had a number of representation assignments for Vinnova’s Strategic Innovation Program IoT Sweden and represented them at a number of conferences abroad. I am also a member of the Domain Committee IFIP IoT, which monitors the development of IoT in an international context. I am passionate about creating knowledge about new technology and the opportunities and challenges that digitalization offers, both in terms of the emergence of new business logic and in the creation of societal benefits.
I am also the Deputy Head of Department as well as Director of Studies at the Department of Informatics and part of the department’s management team. I have the overall responsibility for all the department's courses as well as our five educational programs at both the undergraduate and advanced level and lead our strategic quality assurance and development work from an educational perspective. This includes a wide variety of tasks - from producing process descriptions for different educational processes, leading, initiating, staffing, evaluating and following course and program development, to leading the department's education committee and working with budgeting and our staffing plan.
