I am the ICT coach for the Faculty of Humanities. I guide and consult with colleagues on how they can use, and be helped by, modern digital technology for teaching, research and administration
I have two university degrees: a B.A. in Industrial Studies from the University of Northumbria and a PGCE from Leicester University. I have a B.A. from Umeå University in English, political science and economics. I have taught English and linguistics at various levels at universities and institutions in Spain, Slovakia, England and Sweden. Between 2000 and 2012, I was a junior lecturer in English linguistics, teaching courses in grammar, linguistics, children's language development, language history, sociolinguistics, and ICT for language teachers.
Since September 2009, I have been the ICT coach for the Faculty of Humanities with Humlab as my workplace. I help teachers with our learning platform, video recordings, and managing various digital services. I provide individual consultation but also workshops and lectures. My area of expertise is AI-literacy, eLearning, blended learning, and student-generated content.
I also provide consultation and support for researchers discovering possible solutions that match their research needs.
