I am a post-doc working in Mikael Elofsson's group in the Department of Chemistry. My research focuses on the synthesis of antiviral small molecules and glycoconjugates.
In 2021, I received my PhD in Organic Chemistry from Umeå University, Sweden. I worked in Prof. Ulrika Westerlind's group, which develops tools to study bacteria interactions with the host mucin O-glycome on a molecular level using glycopeptide microarrays.
My current research in Mikeal Elofsson's lab at Umeå University focuses on the synthesis of antiviral small molecules and glycoconjugates. The aim is to generate inhibitors for viruses that bind to the carbohydrate N-acetylneuraminic acid on host cells, which facilitates attachment and subsequent infection.
