PhD student in Max Renner's group at the Department of Chemistry, studying the replication machinery of pneumo- and henipaviruses using cryo-EM.
I am a PhD student in Assistant professor Max Renner's lab at the Department of Chemistry, studying the replication machinery of pneumo- and henipaviruses using cryogenic electron microscopy (cryo-EM).
My work is aimed at understanding the molecular mechanisms behind the functioning of the replication machinery in these viruses. To achieve this, I will employ recombinant protein expression systems to produce the protein components of the viral machinery and characterize them using cryo-EM and other biochemical methods.
I graduated with an MSc in Biochemistry and Structural Biology in June 2022 from the University of Helsinki, Finland.
