My research and teaching interests primarily focus on Sámi health, medical history, and international Indigenous research. I am also interested in the history of polio epidemics and the development, role, and identity formation of population statistics in society.

I am appointed as a faculty representative on the University Board at Umeå University and a scientific member of the Ethical Review Authority.
