I am a One Health Infection Epidemiologist/Expert. I conduct research and teach epidemiology of infectious diseases at the human, animal, and their shared environment interface.

I am a One Health Infection Epidemiologist/Expert. I hold an MSc and PhD in epidemiology and Public Health from Umeå University, Sweden. I also completed a postdoc at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Oslo, Norway. I am using “The One Health Approach” where interdisciplinarians work together to understand the interplay between animal and human health and their shared environment to ensure health for all. This aligns with my interest to better understand, prevent, and control Emerging and Re-emerging Infectious Diseases including Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) and Neglected Tropical Diseases. My work includes teaching and research and I carry out technical consultancies for international organizations and institutes related to my expertise.
I have been teaching in different international settings.
At Umeå University, I am a recognized university teacher and I taught different courses with a focus on One Health infection epidemiology, infectious disease epidemiology, disaster epidemiology, and public and global health.
