Since January 2016 I work as Professor in Education at the Department of Education.

My main research interest concerns education, teaching and learning in the more and more digitalized society. At the department of Education I lead the research-group "Learning and ICT". We are currently about twenty members in the group, and we have been conducting studies in the area for more than fifteen years.

The latest research project that I just finished involved the use of ICT for learning in upper secondary schools. In this project we studied three schools that use ICT for learning in an advanced way. It was a longitudinal study initially spanning the years 2015-2018, but we will continued the study for e few years more.

I also worked 2018-2022 as coordinator for the three national Graduate school for Digital technologies in Education (or short just GRADE), UPGRADE, and LIKED. The graduate schools started in the fall of 2018, fall of 2020, and in 2021 and are initiatives financed by the Swedish Research Council (VR). The graduate schools will provide a joint research environment for the doctoral students in the area, as a complement to the research environments of each university.
