PhD student in business administration, specializing in management. Studying leadership and identity processes in the context of organizing extraordinary events in the Swedish police.
I am a PhD student in business administration specializing in management at Umeå School of Business and Economics, Umeå University. My academic background is in philosophy and psychology (BSc) with a master's degree in leadership and organization from the department of sociology at Umeå University. I have a design education from London College of Communication and outside of academia I have experience of organizational development and project management in the private sector and from working as an entrepreneur, designer and consultant in my own business. I am also a trained mindfulness teacher since the early 2000's.
My research interests include leadership from a practice-process perspective and how it is enacted in complex environments, as well as embodied sensemaking, resilient capacity, and mindful organizing. I am currently engaged in my PhD work as part of the project ”Leadership, Enactment & Translation in and across extraordinary events” where I am exploring hybrid (individual and shared) leadership and leadership identity in the Swedish police incident command system (ICS) of the Northern region.
