My main research focus on how different perceptions of (ecological, financial, social and cultural) sustainability are made meaningful and part of everyday practices. My research has mainly concerned food consumption and food storage in contemporary and historical perspectives. I am also interested in the culture of cold, i.e. how cold, ice, snow and winter is part of practices and identities.
My dissertation Sustainability for dinners was awarded the Baltic University Programme Annual PhD Award 2018 in the category Social Sciences and Humanities. It also received an award by Årets måltidslitteratur 2017 in the category for doctoral dissertations and other scientific publications.
