As digital technology expands into our lives, as tools, means of communication, administration, organization, and entertainment it unevitably also becomes part of longstanding challenges and injustice for many individuals. Experiences of injustice such as stigma, marginalization and discrimination can become both enlarged and mitigated through technology as it interweaves with our lived experiences as human beings. In my PhD project I work with communities who face structural and systemic injustice. Through participatory methods I explore how technology can be shaped and understood as tools of facilitating equity and justice.
