I am a child and adolescent psychiatrist with research interest in neurodevelopmental disorders and psychopharmacology, with special focus on adhd.
I am a senior consultant and assocaite professor in child and adolescent psychiatry. I have a PhD in Pharmacology from Karolinska Institutet, 2003. Later I did my post-doc at the Department of Medical Epidemiology and Biostatistics, Karolinska Institutet. At present, my research is within clinical child and adolescent psychiatry, and epidemiology. My main research interest is in neurodevelopmental disorders and pediatric psychopharmacology, with a special focus on adhd. The research aims at identifying factors affecting diagnosis, treatment and treatment outcomes in these patient categories.
Presently I am Principal Investigator in two larger studies:
1) an observational study aiming at identifying predictors for treatment outcome in children with pharmacological adhd treatment
2) a follow-up study of twins screened for neurodevelopmental problems with the aim to identify predictors for contact with mental health services (co-PI is senior professor Maria Råstam, Lund University).
Since April 2018 I am senior consultant child and adolescent psychiatrist at the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (BUP) county clinic in Västerbotten, with responsibility for the clinical services regarding neurodevelopmental disorders within the clinic.
