Lakshmi is a postdoc in Nicolò Maccaferri’s research group.
Lakshmi did her PhD at the University of Zurich, where she worked on transport and spectroscopic measurements on strongly correlated materials and Dirac and Weyl semi metals. After her PhD, she received the Wenner Gren postdoctoral fellowship for foreign postdoctoral students and joined Nicolò Maccaferri lab at Umeå University in May 2022.
Her present research involves synergizing the expertise of her supervisor with her research experience and implementing ultrafast pump probe measurements on antiferromagnetic and topologically nontrivial materials to gain insight into ultrafast magnetization dynamics in these systems to understand fundamental phenomena and for potential applications in spintronics.
