In May 2020 I was admitted as a PhD-student at the medical faculty in a research project on long-term maternal morbidity after an obstetric anal sphincter injury called “Long-term maternal morbidity after obstetric anal sphincter injury (OASIS) – The Post-OASIS project”.
I obtained my degree of Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Umeå university in 2008 and have clinical experience as a registered nurse from internal medicine and psychiatry. Additionally, I am a registered midwife with clinical experience from intrapartum and postpartum inpatient care as well as gynecological inpatient care. I obtained my Postgraduate Diploma in Midwifery in 2012 at Högskolan Dalarna and have also a Degree of Master of Science in Caring Science.
I mainly teach undergraduate but also postgraduate students within Nursing Science and Midwifery, for instance suturing of perineal lacerations. Furthermore, my teaching concentrates on practical skills training and examination within the Nursing or Midwifery field, such as CPR, injections, central lines or suturing, at the different clinical skills centres at Umeå university. I also hold lectures on nursing as well as sexual and reproductive health.
