Areas of research:
Perception, comprehension and projection - evaluation of situation awareness in multidisciplinary emergency care teams. A deeper understanding and analysis of situation awareness has reduced the incidence of mistakes which occur in complex environments such as aviation and nuclear industries. There, as in health care, unexpected events ends up with major consequences if wrong decisions are made. With experience from the aviation and nuclear industries the thesis, Knowing what's going on-situation awareness and team performance in interprofessional teams, focused on the interaction between the participants in multidisciplinary teams working with severely injured and sick patients.
Today I am a part of various both national and Nordic research groups wich aims to analyze and optimize learning, technical and non-technical skills, for both students an clinicall staff.
