Karin Nilsson, PhD., is a clinical psychologist, psychotherapist and supervisor in family therapy with a doctorate in medical science. She teaches, supervises, and work with clinical assessment and research at the CAP-clinic in Västerbotten and at Umeå University. She defended her thesis "Recovery from Adolescent onset Anorexia Nervosa – A longitudinal study" in 2007. Her main clinical research area is treatment of eating disorders, and she has also conducted research in the field of treatment strategies for young children and their parents, and also in the area of support for parents in preventing mental disorders in their children.
