I am an 'EC' postdoc in Yaowen Wu lab and Anita Sellstedt's research group at Umeå Plant Science Centre. My research involves the development of chemo-optogenetic tools to control cellular processes in bacteria. These tools will further be used for metabolic engineering for value added product synthesis.
My doctoral research (at IIT-Bombay, Mumbai, India) has focused on promoter development and metabolic engineering of Pseudomonas bharatica CSV86 for the degradation of xenobiotics, leading to broadened metabolic versatlity of this unique bacterium (Harshit Malhotra - Google Scholar).
