I am associate professor (docent) of discrete mathematics. My research is combinatorial optimization, graph theory and algorithmics, e.g., the Traveling Salesman Problem and Mastermind.
My research areas are discrete mathematics, combinatorial optimization, graph theory and algorithmics. It includes the Traveling Salesman Problem, game theory (especially Mastermind), theory of Latin squares and sensitivity analysis.
Biography
I defended my dissertation in 2001 at Essen University in Germany. Between 2001 and 2010 I was a postdoc at the Christian-Albrechts-University of Kiel, Martin-Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg (both Germany) and Washington University St. Louis (USA). From 2010 to 2011 I was a visiting professor at the Technical University of Clausthal (Germany). Since 2011 I have been at Umeå University as an associate professor and in June 2013 I was appointed docent in mathematics.
