I obtained my PhD in Cancer and RNA Biology from Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati in India. I have worked in the broad area of cancer biology and post-transcriptional gene regulation. In my doctoral studies, I worked on understanding the regulation of RNPS1, a global guardian of splicing fidelity, and its implications in cervical cancer.
Following my PhD, I joined Yaowen Wu lab at Umeå University in September 2023 as a postdoctoral fellow. My research activities focus on engineering chemogenetic activated CAR T cell for advancing the field of cancer therapeutics. Chimeric Antigen Receptor (CAR) T cells opens up the era of living drugs and has shown promising clinical results in diseases such as aggressive lymphomas and autoimmune disorders. As a researcher in cancer biology, I am passionate about exploring and improving the therapeutic efficacy of CAR-T cell therapy.
