Postdoc working on identifying sORF encoded microproteins during infection and exploring their molecular function.
I am a postdoc in the Iker Aramburu Lab. I am studying the role of microproteins translated from small ORFs (sORF) in the host and pathogen during fungal infections, I am particularly interested in how infection could influence non-AUG translation.
During my PhD at the National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), India. I focused on understanding eukaryotic translation initiation, specifically non-AUG based upstream ORFs (uORF) initiation and its impact on cellular physiology under eIF5G31R mutant background in yeast.
