MD PhD
Associate Professor in Pulmonary Medicine
I am Associate Professor in Pulmonary Medicine and work as a Senior Physician at the Pulmonary section with pulmonary medicine and lung cancer.
I am University Lecturer and Assistant Head of Department at the Department of Public Health and Clinical Medicine.
In my research, I have studied respiratory effects of air pollutants such as diesel exhaust and ozone with a focus on inflammatory changes and antioxidants. I have also studied COPD with a focus on inflammatory changes and epigenetic changes in the airways.
My continued research is focused on lung cancer, new diagnostic methods and the possibility of detecting lung cancer at an earlier stage. A good national network with both pulmonologists and oncologists forms the basis for these studies.
