WARA Media & Language

Research project WARA Media & Language is one of five research arenas within WASP – Sweden’s largest research program. With a focus on media and language, the mission is to create a multidisciplinary ecosystem which bridges scientific fields and industrial sectors.

WARA Media & Language is led from Umeå University and comprises a core group of researchers representing Swedish universities and companies. Additionally, there is a large and expanding network of initiatives and collaborations, both nationally and internationally. The research performed within WARA Media & Language mainly centers around the generation and analysis of text, audio and image data, as well as knowledge and understanding regarding its broader impact on society. The arena can offer extensive support in data management, benchmarking, and technology.
