Research project A large part of Bio4Energy research from mainly the platform for Thermochemical Conversion Technologies, but also to some extent from the platform for System Analysis and Bioeconomy, has been focused on biomass gasification. The overall objective of the present project is to contribute further to the development of the entrained flow gasification technology by bringing some of our basic research results to pilot scale experiments.
For process development, a number of research questions have been identified as being in need for information on the effects of upscaling. The goal of the present project is to evaluate findings in pilot scale, propose improvements for the technology and to highlight further research needs.
