Quality in the assessment of skills, abilities and attitudes in vocational education
Research project
The assessment form OSCE (Objective Structured Clinical Examination) is a structured examination of clinical skills that has previously been mainly used in the medical field, e.g. medical education.
At Umeå University, Department of Psychology, the OSCE has been implemented in the psychology program since 2018. This research project aims to evaluate the quality of the OSCE in psychology with respect to three different aspects; alignment between national goals/curriculum, teaching and the OSCE, the reliability and validity of the OSCE results in terms of psychometric properties and standard setting, as well as the students’ and examiners’ experiences of the examination.
