Research project
PRACTICE is one of the largest projects the European CBRNE Center has coordinated.
The purpose of project PRACTICE was to produce an integrated, flexible and expandable system of crisis management tools and procedures: the PRACTICE Toolbox. The Toolbox would improve the preparedness and resilience of EU member states and associated countries against CBRN attacks and incidents.
The project started in 2011 and ended in 2014. The goal was to improve capacity in regards to reacting to, and recover from, a CBRN-incident. The project was based on the assumption that the essential reactions, tasks and functions concerning a CBRN-incident can be considered universal and not contingent on national characteristics. The project was coordinated by the European CBRNE Center, had an 11,7 million Euro budget, and consisted on 23 partners from 11 different countries. Information and results are available on the project website.
