Food and meals in Steiner school

Research project The aim of the study is to investigate the food and meal situations in Steiner preschools.

The project aims to study how food and meals are presented in Steiner preschools, and their potential as a learning tool. Since children in Steiner preschools are often served vegetarian food, there are also several sustainability incentives of interest, as working with food and meals can be seen as a way to work concretely with sustainable development. The project can be seen as a contribution to research that combines nutritional science with educational science and highlights two relatively unexplored areas: food in preschools and Steiner pedagogy and schools.
