Single crystal X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) provides 3D structural information at atomic resolution of small molecules as well as macromolecules such as proteins, DNA, RNA, and their complexes. XRD is ideally suited for drug target screening (“High Throughput Screening”) and "Fragment-Based Drug Discovery" by determining the structure of proteins with bound drug candidates. In addition, the X-ray equipment can be used for powder and fibre diffraction.
