Research infrastructure
Clinical Studies Sweden – Forum North is a platform for research-supporting infrastructure with the goal of facilitating the implementation of studies and increasing the availability of study participants throughout the northern healthcare region. Forum North is based on collaboration between Region Norrbotten, Region Jämtland Härjedalen, Region Västerbotten, Region Västernorrland, and Umeå University.
Forum North offers a regional entry point for both academia and life science companies. Access to research support is provided via clinical research centers in all northern regions. This enables researchers to conduct studies throughout the northern healthcare region and increases access to study participants. It also provides citizens with more equitable opportunities to participate in clinical studies.
Forum North is one of six regional nodes in Clinical Studies Sweden, a national collaboration between Sweden’s six healthcare regions, supported by the Swedish research Council. Through competitive intelligence and dialogue with stakeholders within healthcare, academia, authorities and life science companies, we identify common national challenges and requirements. Via national working groups and projects, we collaborate to investigate issues and develop effective solutions within our various focus areas.
Through Clinical Studies Sweden, contact can also be facilitated for investigators and study participants across the country.
Feasibility Sweden is a national service provided by Clinical Studies Sweden. It provides researchers and life science companies one way in and quick answers to feasibilities to the Swedish healthcare system.
