Histories of Education at the Department of Education
Research group
The research group in the Histories of Education works as a hub for research at the Department of Education with an interest in educational processes in historical perspectives.
The research includes both schooling and other institution-bound educational practices as well as aspects of teaching and learning linked to organizations and professional work-life. This also includes an interest in the press and media as educators, as well as in knowledge transfer and learning within central societal entities such as family, associational life and peer groups.
Teaching is conducted at undergraduate level, advanced level and postgraduate level.
Collaboration takes place with schools, museums and archives and with other history of education-oriented research groups and research networks at both local, national and international level.
The group has its own seminars, and members are active as editors in several scientific and popular science journals.
