Analytical Laser Spectrometry represents the field in which laser spectrometric techniques are used for assessments of the concentration (or the amount) of a given species in gaseous form, i.e. free atoms or molecules.
Over the years, we have been pursued om the development of a number of techniques. Due to the good ability of absorption-based measurement techniques to quantitatively assess concentrations of free atoms or molecules, our research activity focuses mainly on the development of techniques based on a combination of cavity-enhanced spectroscopy (for increased interaction length between laser light and sample) and frequency modulation spectroscopy (for reduction of noise).
The technique with which we work most, which can be detect the presence of molecules with either absorption or dispersion spectrometry, and which is probably the most sensitive technique for quantitative laser spectrometry in the world, goes under the partially cryptic name.
