School meals from a food, nutrition and culinary science perspective
Research group
The research group studies school meals from a social, educational and health perspective.
In various projects, not least in Nordic collaborations and in doctoral projects, the nutritional importance of school lunches to pupils is studied. Another aspect studied is how school stakeholders, such as pupils, teachers and principals, perceive and experience school lunches.
This research involves, for example
School lunches in relation to the systematic approach for quality assurance in schools.
The experiences of school lunches for pupils, teachers and principals.
School lunches to pupils with ADHD and/or autism spectrum disorders.
Diet, health and learning in children in the Nordic countries – are school lunches of importance?
