The RiseB thesis prize in 2014 was awarded to Sebastian Levall och Brita Prejer for their thesis Inclusive business and shared values: A case study in Laos.
Award motivation
The thesis of Levall and Prejer is ambitious and well written with an important call for multinational companies to take local conditions and sustainability issues into account in their operations in dysfunctional political systems. The authors go beyond the usual essay writing having visited Laos and studied the problems and opportunities in a company's sustainability and internationalization process.
