The research theme of the interaction between private law and public law focus on research conducted within the framework of various projects.
The public administration is multi-faceted and civil and competition law has – due to global trends such as deregulation, privatisation and the use of market-legal instruments, principles and concepts - had a major influence. In some cases there has been a movement from local government to local governance. Meanwhile, welfare state policies has for a long time influenced the development of private law and the interpretation of various market regulatory principles. This has led to the interweaving of public and private sectors, with at times opaque legal consequences from both a national and a European perspective.
