Law and emerging technologies

Profile area The research theme Law and Emerging Technologies gather researchers investigating the impact of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data, automation and digitalization on law, and the limits and preconditions the law places on the use of such emerging technologies.

The research conducted within this theme covers a range of different legal areas, from human rights, through constitutional and administrative law to contracts, intellectual property and criminal law. Much of the research incorporate insights from a range of academic disciplines and theories.
