Research group Within this research program, we have been interested in gender equality in academia for more than a quarter of a century, how it can be investigated and what the results show.
Studies on women's and men's careers in higher education have been the main focus. In 1994, the government allocated funds for a pilot study on how the qualifications of female and male applicants were evaluated in positions of employment in higher education. This was the start of the research program “Gender in academic careers” GENIAC.
