Research group There are three intra-connected interests in this group – research on didactics focusing processes of leadership, teaching and learning, research in the history of education and research on assessment.
The research on didactics is often concerned with questions of formative learning processes, social science didactics, and collegial learning. This research also focusing the digitalization of society and how that potentially changes the conditions for learning, leadership and organization in teacher education and the K-12 school. A certain interest concerns teacher educators’ and school teachers’ professional digital competence. Research in the history of education is aimed both at schools and other educational institutions as well as at aspects of teaching and learning connected to organizations, work life and life outside of school. It includes the schooling of minorities, press and media as educators, educational utopias and children's life questions as well as knowledge transfer and learning within central societal formations such as family and association life. Research on assessment considers assessment as a specific part of the teaching process or as interwoven with other aspects of teaching. In the research, assessment can be foreground or background. The research, which includes assessment both for and of learning, also contains an interest in governance and evaluation at different levels in the education system, the tensions between these levels, and, for example, how this affects pedagogical practice
Within the area of didactics, the history of education and assessment the members of this group are involved in various teacher education programmes, but also in the police program, the study programme for human resource management, the study programme for university diploma in psychology, and courses in Education on a basic, advanced as well as third cycle education level. The members are in addition organizing both courses for teachers’ professional development and school development assignment training. Activities carried out in collaboration with for example municipality organizers, school organizers as well as organizers of the independent schools.
