Digital humanities

The Digital Humanities is an interdisciplinary field at the intersection of the humanities, culture, and information technology

Our research uses digital tools and methods from the theoretical and methodological perspectives of the humanities.

The Digital Humanities also involves the application of humanities perspectives to digital tools, methods, sources, and practices in (and for) research and teaching.

Research and teaching in digital humanities at Umeå University is mainly directed towards four focus areas: digital methods, digital practices, pedagogical development and art.
