Four collaborative research pairs at the Faculty of Medicine receive funding from the Wallenberg Centre for Molecular Medicine (WCMM) for joint 2-year postdoctoral Fellowships.
WCMM has allocated support for joint postdoctoral Fellowships with 400 kSEK in running costs, based on scientific merits and synergistic potential, to the following collaborative pairs:
• Marta Bally and Hugo Lövheim for the project "Apolipoprotein E and neuron infection by Herpes simplex virus type-1: molecular mechanisms behind the role if herpes simplex in Alzheimer's disease". The postdoctoral Fellow will be employed at the Department of Clinical Microbiology.
• Intissar Anan and Anders Olofsson for the project "CRISPR/Cas9 for inhibiting transthyretin (TTR) expression in the eye of patients with TTR amyloidosis". The postdoctoral Fellow will be employed at the Department of Public Health and Clinical Medicine.
• Francesca Aguilo and Eva Lundin for the project "Decoding the map of RNA modifications in cancer". The postdoctoral Fellow will be employed at the Department of Medical Biosciences.
• Gisa Gerold and Niklas Arnberg for the project "Identification of adenovirus enterotoxin receptors by high-resolution proteomics". The postdoctoral Fellow will be employed at the Department of Clinical Microbiology.
