This spring everything is different but definitely not without a celebration of your graduation. Of course, we will celebrate our students even if it will be in a different way.
On the last Friday of the semester it is always time for the graduation ceremony. So even this year but now the celebration and congratulations are happening on our web.
On the webpage there will be a video with gratulations from us and we will also congratulate winners of the prizes awarded by USBE.
We will also congratulate the thesis prizes that are given with partners and the alumni foundation prize to a student who has contributed to the development of the school or created added value to fellow students.
The webpage will be published at June 5, at 16.30 and will be available also after that date.
Award and prizes to be noted in connection with graduation:
USBE Alumni Scholarship Foundation and Swedbanks Prize
USBE Alumni Scholarship Foundation honors students that have contributed positively to the business school’s learning environment. The recipient of the 2020 scholarship, awarded by the USBE Alumni Scholarship Foundation in cooperation with Swedbank is Javier Jo Mai, student at the master program in finance.
USBE Pedagogically prize 2020 is assigned to Professor Giovanni Forchini, Department of Economics.
USBE Scientific Awards
USBE Scientific Award is awarded by the USBE Research Institute and the idea with the scientific awards is to celebrate scientific writing and distinguishes high-quality research in the field of Business Administration, Economics and Statistics.
The recipients for 2020 are: Medhanie Gaim, Business Administration Anita Lindmark, Statistics Sonal Yadal, Economics
RiseB´s Thesis Prize in Sustainability and Business Ethics
RiseB, the Research Institute for Sustainability and Ethics in Business announces an annual thesis prize to encourage business students to become interested in and immerse themselves in sustainability and business ethics. Thesis prize partner is Umeå Energi that have made the financing possible. This years winners are Djenane Liasse och Jana Tigges, Lund University.
Siemens Financial Services Best Student Thesis Award
It is the first time that the award is given and the purpose of the award is to stimulate and maintain students' interest in the area of finance / financial economics with potential positive impact on regional skills provision. The funding of the award, which is given as a scholarship, has been made possible by USBEs collaboration with Siemens Financial Services.
The prize is awarded to Lovisa Kjerstensson and Hanna Nygren, Umeå School of Business, Economics and Statistics (USBE).
