The Lancet Countdown in Europe is a newly established transdisciplinary research collaboration for monitoring progress on health and climate change in Europe which will be presented at a launch event on September 23 at 15-17 moderated by Dr. Maria Neira, Director, Environment, Climate Change and Health, World Health Organization.
Building on the work on the global Lancet Countdown it will leverage on the wealth of data and the expertise in Europe, to develop high resolution Europe-specific indicators that explore in further depths aspects of particular relevance to the region.
The indicators produced by the collaboration will provide information to health and climate policy decision making from European to regional level and will also contribute to the European Climate and health observatory.
