NEWS The University Board has decided that Professor Tora Holmberg will be presented to the Hearing Assembly as a candidate for Vice-Chancellor of Umeå University. Tora Holmberg is currently Professor of Sociology and Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Uppsala University. Thus, the Board follows the proposal of a unanimous recruitment committee.

The Board has also given the recruitment committee a continued assignment to identify a candidate or candidates for the position of Pro-Vice-Chancellor in close consultation with the incoming rector. The plan is that a decision on the Pro-Vice-Chancellor can be made at the Board meeting in April.
