Time to apply for ship time!

NEWS Are you planning for marine research 2025 and 2026 in the Gulf of Bothnia area? Would you need ship time onboard the research vessel KBV 181? Then it is time to apply for free ship time through the Swedish National Infrastructure SWERVE. Apply on 13 October at the latest.

SWERVE is a Swedish National Infrastructure that aligns Swedish research vessel and data infrastructures across government organisations to enhance access to vessels and equipment, technical expertise, and quality-controlled data. Umeå Marine Sciences Centre is a part of SWERVE and provides the research vessel KBV 181 for sampling in the Gulf of Bothnia.

KBV 181 is the largest research vessels used at Umeå Marine Sciences Centre for sampling in the Gulf of Bothnia. Researchers have the possibility to join the environmental monitoring expeditions and perform their sampling and analyses onboard.

SWERVE

The Swedish Research Vessel Infrastructure for Marine Research (SWERVE) is a national infrastructure funded by the Swedish Research Council to deliver enhanced access to vessel and data infrastructure for Swedish marine researchers, and support training of a national network of marine technicians.

Umeå Marine Sciences Centre is a part of SWERVE and provides the research vessel KBV 181 for sampling in the Gulf of Bothnia.
