The Swedish Cancer Society has granted two postdoc positions

Two researchers at Umeå University have been granted a three-year postdoc position by the Swedish Cancer Society. In both cases, the amount in question is SEK 2,265,000.
Pallabi Sengupta, Department of Medical Biochemistry and Biophysics, is part of Nasim Sabouri's research group. Project title: I-Motif DNA: A Novel Player in Cell Cycle Regulation and a Prospective Target both in Cancer Therapies and as Cancer Biomarkers. Pallabi Sengupta received his PhD from the Bose Institute in India in 2021.
Valentin L'Hôte, Department of Medical Biochemistry and Biophysics, is part of Sjord Wanrooij's research group. Project title: Investigating the regulation of the senescence-associated secretory phenoytpe (SASP) by mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) metabolism for the development of novel anticancer senotherapies. Valentin L'Hôte received his PhD from the University of Paris-Saclay in 2022.
