Summer holiday is approaching – remember your keycard

From the end of the spring semester, on Friday 31 May, all entrances on the University’s campuses will be locked. This means that anyone wanting to enter needs a personal keycard – their UMU card. This goes for both students and staff at Umeå University. Certain doors will be locked already from 30 May since some infliction of damage and disturbance has taken place indoors.
If you do not yet have an UMU card, it is high time to apply for one to access the premises you need. All necessary information can be found in the links below this text, or go to Infocenter, and they will assist.
More campus security officers to increase security
Campus security officers are also patrolling Campus Umeå more frequently. This is not related to any particular incident, but is to be seen as a preventive measure for added security.
Please note! You are not allowed to let anyone else into the University’s premises if they do not have a keycard. Universum and Umeå University Library will still be accessible without a keycard.
