Seniordagarna in Luleå 2024: A Hub for Activity and Health

On October 2–3 2024, the Senior days in Luleå brought together seniors from across the region for two days of activities, lectures, exhibitions, and social interaction. The program featured among others lectures by Jessica Körning Ljungberg, Gunilla Johansson, and members of the Movement Lab at Luleå University of Technology.
The health and well-being of elder throughout life is a recurring theme of Luleå Municipality’s Senior days. The annual event has become an important meeting place for seniors in the region. This year’s gathering welcomed hundreds of participants, fostering the exchange of many new insights and ideas.
The Support Office for Life Science and Health (SOLH) was represented at the event through Ulrik Röijezon from Luleå University of Technology. Röijezon delivered a lecture titled “Motor Control, Balance, and the Sixth Sense – How It Works!”. Together with colleagues from the field of physiotherapy, he also conducted demonstrations where participants had the opportunity to try out new technologies for measuring balance and motor control.
