NEWS The first DIGSUM seminar will take place in Samvetet from 13:15 on Thursday 26th January. Anne Kaun (Södertörn University) will talk to the title 'Data Times: The Temporalities of Digital Media'.
Kaun’s research addresses the media practices of protest movements such as the Occupy Wall Street movement, Occupy Stockholm and Occupy Latvia. Her publications, including her book 'Crisis and Critique: A History of Media Participation in Times of Crisis' (2016 Zed Books), address how media technologies enable and constrain organisation and mobilisation within these movements in terms of temporality and spatiality and in particular how media technologies have changed movement practices and tactics over time.
