The Wallenberg Centre for Molecular Medicine (WCMM) has recruited a new group leader in infection biology.
WCMM recruits young group leaders on tenure track positions to the Faculty of Medicine. Ronnie Berntsson joins WCMM as an Associate senior lecturer at the Department of Medical Biochemistry and Biophysics in December 2018. His research is on structural biology of gram positive bacteria secretion systems.
Ronnie Berntsson has postdoctoral experience from the Groningen Biomolecular Sciences and Biotechnology Institute, Rijksuniversiteit Groningen, the Netherlands and the Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics, Stockholm University. Most recently he was a group leader at the Department of Medical Biochemistry and Biophysics at Umeå University where he now continues as a Wallenberg Molecular Medicine Fellow.
